Welcome to Shadow Code

Shadow Code is a cyberpunk roleplaying game about mercenaries for hire in a world ruled by megacorporations. A hack of Offworlders, it uses light and intuitive rules suited for quick one-shots or short campaigns. Players take on the roles of animals (though humans and synthetics exist) augmented as bipedal beings engineered to survive in a polluted, decaying world. Together, your team will explore their mega-city, taking on lucrative contracts and confronting the dangers that lurk in every crowded alley, crumbling tower, and flickering video feed.

The Price of Existence

In a world ruled by megacorporations, survival doesn’t come easy when even basic needs have a subscription based price tag. The world has been polluted and broken, collapsing into ruin. Genetically and mechanically augmented humanoid beasts walk crowded holographic-lit streets. Their bodies reshaped to withstand the decay… and to turn a profit. 

The skyline, the law, and the lives beneath it are controlled completely by the corporations. But not everyone kneels.

You are a Shadow, an elite operative. You don’t clock in at a factory or rot behind a desk like rest. You live on contracts. Silent infiltrations. Loud, destructive messages. Whatever the job demands, you deliver. On time, on spec, no excuses. You’re a professional.

Employers change often. One day you’re working for the megacorps that rule the world; the next, you’re tearing down their walls from the inside. You only serve who pays... everyone serves someone. You just charge more.
